Unique Medium: paper, watercolour, vintage silk Shuzbekistan – a fairy-tale world, a journey through time, a dance of images and forms, a whirlpool of the artist's favorite themes that intertwine in a pattern of her art's leitmotifs: family ties, craft, tradition, the role of women in the modern world and the search for self-identity. Echoes of wanderings and times before the quarantine, reflections of mirages, dreams and fantasies that Olga has retained in her memory are embodied in a series of new graphic works created by the artist while preparing the publication of her fairy-tale book in collaboration with the LOBBY team. While Olga's first home exhibition was created right after her visit to her grandmother and showcased the so-called souvenirs from an imaginary land, this time the universe of Shuzbekistan has gone through a process of deep transformation: the tangible world has become an ephemeral realm, set up from misty silhouettes and imaginary symbols, which spawned an ode to woman and her labor, her ability to combine softness and resilience, warmth and rigour. This is exactly what we witness in the new "gifts" from Shuzbekistan, where mysterious visions from dreams are entwined with images of flowers taken from the original prints of the fabrics that Olga's grandmother created at the textile factory in Margilan, where she worked her entire adult life as head artist.
